Its two main seats are:

  • The house where Spinoza lived in Rijnsburg. Now a museum, its collection includes more than 300 works dating from the 17th-18th centuries by and on the Dutch philosopher.
  • The house where Spinoza lived and died in The Hague, which includes a study room offering 19th and 20th century works by and on Spinoza. In addition to serving as a study room and library, it is primarily set to become an International Spinoza Center.
The board of the Association Het Spinozahuis and the volunteers who help run the museum and the study room receive no fee. To finance the costs necessary to maintain the properties and the inventory and issue its publications, the Association Het Spinozahuis relies on membership fees, donations and bequests by private persons.
